Location: Grano de Oro, Cartago Province, Costa Rica (Approximately 4 hours from San Jose)

Cost: $1,500 ($100 non-refundable deposit due by August 3). Please contact the business office to make your payment. 

Fee Includes: Airfare, ground transportation, meals, lodging, pre-planned recreational activities

Project: Building a 30-person cabin in the local Adventist Care Center. This project will provide temporary shelter to the indigenous communities that travel by foot (sometimes walking up to 6-8 hours) across the 24 surrounding villages. 

Lodging: Our group will stay in the existing buildings in the camp. Students need to bring their own sleeping bags. The camp has running water and access to showers and toilets. 

Food: Vegetarian meals will be provided by members of the local church 

Passport/Visa: All participants must have a valid passport. U.S. citizens do not need a visa to visit Costa Rica. Additionally, students will need to have a notarized permission slip in order to travel as minors without their parents. The school will make arrangements for a public notary to provide this service on campus.
